Biography:

Guoqing Zhou is the Vice President of Guilin University of Technology, Professor, Ph.D. supervisor of Tianjin University and Guilin University of Technology, Director of Guangxi Key Laboratory of Spatial Information and Mapping, Director of Remote Sensing Research Center of Tianjin University. Zhou is a national specially-appointed expert, selected for the National Major Talent Project, a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions, a candidate of the National Ten Million Talent Project, a reserve candidate of academicians in Guangxi, and a subject expert of the National 12th Five-Year Plan 863, etc. He has been awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the Ministry of Education. His achievements have won the second prize in scientific and technological progress from the Ministry of Education, the first prize of natural science in Guangxi, the first prize of technological invention in Guangxi, the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Guangxi, the first prize of scientific and technological progress in surveying and mapping in China, two first prizes of teaching achievements in Guangxi, the Talbert Abrams Gold Medal of the U.S.A., the Humboldt Foundation Prize of Germany (all ranked the first), and 57 other awards. He has been selected as one of China's highly cited scholars for three consecutive years (2020-2022), and has been recognized as one of the world's top 2% of top scientists in the "Lifetime Scientific Influence Ranking (1960-2022)" and "2022 Annual Scientific Influence Ranking" in 2022. "He has published 11 monographs (including one in English). He has published 11 monographs (including 5 in English), more than 570 SCI/EI papers, including 202 SCI papers, 73 domestic and foreign patents, and 49 software copyrights.
