Prof. Zulkiflee Abd Latif

Biography:
Professor Zulkiflee Abd Latif is the Director of the Centre of Studies for Surveying Science & Geomatics at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), where he also serves as a professor at the Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainable Development (IBSD). He has extensive experience in applied remote sensing and geospatial research and has been a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) since 2002. Since 2012, Professor Zulkiflee has been an Executive Committee Member of the IEEE Geoscience & Remote Sensing Malaysia Chapter, actively contributing to research and applications in geoinformatics. He has held editorial roles in several international publications, including "Forest Degradation Around the World" and "Deforestation Around the World." Additionally, he has published articles in various scientific journals focusing on the application of remote sensing data in ecological modeling. In terms of community engagement, Professor Zulkiflee has participated in numerous significant research projects, serving on the Steering Committee for the MoU between UiTM and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks of Malaysia. He was also the Vice-Chair of the International Conference on Geomatics & Geospatial Technology (GGT 2020). Furthermore, he led the Research Monitoring Unit at UiTM’s Research Management Centre, fostering academic research management and innovation, making notable contributions to Malaysia's remote sensing and geospatial fields.
Assoc. Prof. Jun Xia

Biography:
Jun Xia, male, is an Associate Professor of Leshan Normal University, Ph.D., and the Director of the Department of Geographic Sciences. He primarily engages in research on remote sensing technology and its applications. He teaches courses such as "Land Management," "Introduction to Remote Sensing," "Urban Geography," "Planning CAD," and "Big Data." He has led one project at the Sichuan Tourism Development Research Center, one university-level teaching reform project, and one university-level talent introduction project. He has published 5 papers in SCI and EI journals, including "Spectroscopy and Spectral Analysis" and "Journal of Coal Science," and has registered 2 software copyrights.
